Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, known to a lot of people as Katy Perry, had her breakthrough single I Kissed a Girl in 2008. The single was quite a sensation that it had numerous plays in the airwaves. It wasn’t this time that I liked her. I actually liked her more when she released her single, Thinking of You, a romantic mushy song far from the previous singles she released.
Katy Perry was born to an American Christian pastor parents. With thus, she grew up listening to gospel music. I read before that she even had a gospel album before she became a household name.
Katy had a debut tour, The Hello Katy Tour that kicked off in United States in January 2009. The tour is in support of her debut album, One of the Boys. By that time, I was hoping that she’ll set foot here in Manila especially when I learned that she’ll have a concert in Japan. The only place she’ll perform in Asia. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. But I good things come to those who wait, Katy Perry will perform with Boys Like Girls in Manila on October 3.
The Youtube singing sensation we first known as the girl who did an acoustic version of Rihanna’s Umbrella, will be gracing her Filipino fans on August 1, 2009 at The Fort NBC Tent.
Marie Digby, from a Japanese and Irish-American descent, is a 26 year old singer -songwriter from Los Angeles. After being such a hit on Youtube, she landed some guest appearances on TV shows in the US.
Her debut album, Unfold, includes the hits Say It Again and Stupid For You. Say It Again, an original single, had been a hit and have been a favorite of numerous radio stations by topping the charts.
In line with her coming to the Philippines, Marie Digby will also promote her second album – Breaking Underwater with her newest single Avalanche.
Marie Digby Live in Manila is produced by Jomari Yllana and the Singson brothers – Ronald and Ryan. The concert will be August 1, 2009 8PM at the NBC Tent, The Fort. Tickets would be available at Ticketnet.
When the iPhone was first released in 2007 , I was quite bit excited about it especially when I found out that it will be released here under Globe Telecoms. I would have gotten a unit before if it wasn’t quite expensive. Two years after the first release of Apple’s phone, a new one is released but I may not be getting one still. Wanna know why?
Will definitely watch this movie. Shouldn’t miss an Alexis Bledel movie.

I remember when I was fresh out of college. All I ever wanted then was to quickly get a job. I was not even thinking of having a rest first or stop for awhile. Guess most teenagers are like that. They all want to experience everything quickly.
It wasn’t easy to look for a job, much more getting a job that is related to your degree. To every job application you’ve been to, there’s always someone ahead of you – literally and figuratively. You’ll give your best to impress the interviewers. But have you ever realized that those few minutes of your life, the rest of your future relies on the hands of those interviewers? They will either make or break you. Sometimes, you can’t really tell why they hired you. Was it because you’re really smart for the job? Or you’re just one lucky bastard who got into the crowd?
With times like these having the recession and all, being hired is much much harder. You can’t really be choosy. Sometimes even if you’re already employed and thinks of resigning, you just can’t let go because at this point jobs are harder to find. You’re still lucky if you’re still employed.
If only I could back my post-graduation days, maybe I would opt to rest for awhile. Pause for some moment and enjoy some free days not thinking of where to go to hand in my resume. A month or two will do just to experience being a “bum”. After that, maybe I could try getting in to a call center. Maybe just for the sake of it and also to be able to save some moolah- we all know $$$ are talking in the call center industry. After two years, then I guess that would be the time I would really go for something I really want.
Chris Brown and Rihanna’s concert in Manila was the real concert of the year! With 70,000 people who attended the much anticipated event, it is a sure thing that you should not be missed! It was a bit bitin but then again, they still performed here in Manila.
Jennina and I arrived at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field 15 minutes before 5PM. When we got there, a lot of cars have been piling up thus causing traffic. When we got into our area (Gold), the best spots are already occupied. Too bad we didn’t arrive earlier as planned (around 3PM). I heard about Belle De Jour Power Planner last year. Since I’m always on the lookout for different planners/organizers, I decided to get one and use a BDJ planner for this year 2008. I actually used two – the other one from Starbucks – but my BDJ planner is used for work related stuff.

With my 4 years as a part of the workforce, I only have BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) as my bank. Mostly because it is the one used for work and BPI is mostly everywhere. You can see a BPI ATM just around the corner. But lately, I’ve been noticing that BPI has been having problems. Whenever it’s nearing salary day, most of their ATMs are down or under maintenance which is a total hassle.
So, I’m thinking of opening another bank account- just thinking. One of my options is BDO (Banco de Oro). I visited their website to check their savings account lists and account opening requirements. I got answers for my first inquiry but the site does not a have a list of requirements for opening an account. Good thing, there’s a BDO branch near my office building so I decided to go there and ask for their requirements.
Isn’t she just gorgeous? Come on, I know you’ll agree with me. I know I have posted an entry on loving her but I really can’t help myself.
